Opportunities, unlocked.

Legal indemnity insurance.

Legal issues are part and parcel of the property development lifecycle. They not only hinder the development process, but can step in to derail the sale and purchase of a property too. Our Legal Indemnity tool safeguards funders and developers against legal disputes, giving them financial security if the worst should happen.

Market-leading capacity.

We’re backed by Great Lakes SE capacity, with a financial rating of AA- by S&P. Because of our line size, we can go beyond the traditional legal indemnity framework. Our policies can include components like ‘agreed conduct’ to allow developers to negotiate with, and compensate, potential claimants.

Tackling the complex.

As well as helping developers manage instances of live and imminent litigation, we also accept contingent property law risks – issues, clients tell us, other insurers regularly turn down.

Transactional specialists.

With asset or share purchase transactions, the nature of title risks have the potential to cause huge losses. But that doesn’t mean they’re not manageable. We assess risk on a case-by-case basis and tailor a solution to meet the specifics of your project.

Unlocking the complex.

Since writing our first Rights of Light policy back in 2010, our team of underwriters continue to discover solutions across the property life cycle. It’s that innovative mindset that sets us apart in the industry – finding smart solutions to help funders and developers unlock more opportunities in the market.
